Blessed Child poem is one of my favorite poems by Angel. In the poem, you get a little insight on how Angel's childhood was, even though he had many trials and tribulations. He was able to have peace from writing his poetry. It is such a beautiful poem in my opinion. Not to mention, the music is also great. In the music, you hear a lot of his influences which is Afro-Caribbean Cuban melodies. This poem is the first poem in the book titled Blessed Child. The book is a perfect example of who Angel is as a person. By looking at the outside of the poetry book some would assume Angel is a hard core rapper, but that is what I think is so special about him. Like they say; never judge a book by its cover. Angel is a perfect example of this. This book is one of the most romantic poetry book I have ever laid my eyes on.

The poetry book is full of romantic poems, and inspiration poetry. In the introduction from Blessed Child it reads a little like this. "Blessed Child was comprised of my most inner thoughts, likes and dislikes. It evolves from pain, which is measured by the strength that I've gained from others not believing in me. But, now I see I didn't need their approval. I only needed God's favor and grace to carry me though. This book was written years ago. At that time, I had a desire to share my gift. On the other end of the spectrum, I kept going back to what others thought about me. Now that I know who I am, you can look forward to hearing my name frequently. Get ready for bigger and better things to come. Love Angel." I recommend this book to anyone that loves true poetry. This book is the main reason I was so interested in Angel at the beginning. Many others have also wrote. That Angel's poetry in this book, has made them look at him as one of the best Cuban poet. From more info read here.
